What better way to spend sunny February day in Switzerland than to hit the ski slopes? Previous Saturday my husband and I did just that. We drove to Engelberg, a charming alpine village in Canton Obwalden, to do some skiing. It was not our first visit of Engelberg, but it was our first time skiing there.
Melchsee-Frutt is a truly special place where I keep returning to. It lies in the heart of Central Switzerland, on a high plateau at 1,920 meters above sea level. Previous Saturday my boyfriend and I went to Melchsee-Frutt to ski. We couldn’t chose a better day. The sun was out, the conditions were perfect and we had a fabulous ski trip to wrap this season.
I love sunny days and I love skiing. It is not surprise I highly enjoy day trip to the ski slopes of Jungfrau Region last week. The sun was out, the snow was despite warm weather good and I had a great company. The day was absolutely perfect.
This was not my first visit of Jungfrau region. I have been there before, most recent in January in Mürren. This time, I’ve returned to Grindelwald and my favourite slopes of the region – to Kleine Scheidegg – Männlichen. I like this area because it offers broad variety of slopes of all difficulties which are well connected. You can easily ski from Kleine Scheidegg to Männlichen and back (or reverse) without even taking your skis off. Continue reading
