Cats of the world

Hi, I’m Urška and I’m a crazy cat lady. I also love to travel. Wherever in the world I meet feline creature I try to befriend it or at least take a picture of it. No wonder there are plenty of cat photos in my photo library. Here below are some of those pictures of the cuties I’ve met and photographed on my travels:

Blast from the Past: Valldemossa

After amazing road trip around Slovenia, I’m now house-sitting my parent’s home, trying to refill my batteries. While I still have to sort out my thoughts and impressions of this great trip, my memories of the holidays in Mallorca in September 2012 are already all sorted out. I’ve visited this great Spanish island with my husband and we had amazing time there. This particular set of photos included in my Blast from the Past series are dedicated reviving my memories of the visit of the scenic village of Valldemossa. Hope you’ll enjoy them!

Iceland. Day 3: Dyrhólaey & Sólheimajökull glacier hike

On our third day in Iceland, my husband and I left Vík for Reykjavik. On our way there we stopped at the Dyrhólaey and Sólheimajökull glacier.

Dyrhólaey is a 120 metres high promontory located 10 km west of Vík and is of the most famous sights in Vík area. We followed the Road 281 which took us directly to the rocky plateau where we left our car and went out exploring. The views from there were breathtaking. We admired impressive views to Reynisfjara beach and Reynisdrangar, we’ve already admired on our first day in Iceland. This time we saw them from different direction. Continue reading

Traveling with Cats by Car

Cats are creatures of routine that are usually strongly bonded to their territory. Most of them do not cope well with their routine being broken and being taken away from their territory. Travels are such events when all this happens. No wonder, traveling is not most cats’ cup of tea. But, there are exceptions, like my cats Živa and Lili who regularly travel with me from my home in Switzerland to my parents’ home in Slovenia. Despite traveling is not their favourite activity, they tollerate it.

Japan. Day 4: Cat Cafe & Baseball in Tokyo

The fourth day of our trip to Japan was dedicated to two things my boyfriend and I are passionate about: sports and cats.

Petting time at the Calico cat cafe

My boyfriend is a sports enthusiast. We often visit sports venues and events on our travels. Our trip to Japan wouldn’t be the same without some sports-related activity. Our first pick was to attend sumo, a Japanese wrestling sport. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the tournament, so we had to settle for the plan B: the baseball. Continue reading
