It has been a while since the last Blast from the Past (a blog series in which I’m reminiscing my past trips and travels). Don’t worry, I did not run out of photographs. There are still some left to share – starting with gorgeous Swiss capital Bern I’ve visited with my friends few years before I moved to Switzerland, on the first day of the year 2009. Stroll through the snowy cobbled streets and squares of Bern’s old town was a lovely way to start a year, wouldn’t you agree?
I visited Bern many years ago. It’s quite beautiful.

I agree. I find Bern to be one of the prettiest towns in Switzerland. 🙂

I always associate that “kindli fresser” fountain with Bern…ever since I was small I’ve had this fascination (then it was fear) of this fountain. It is quite barbaric, isn’t it?

Oh yeah I know this fountain. It is quite famous, isn’t it? I wonder if there is any story/myth behind it? I mean, why on Earth would someone created statue of man eating small children and put it on the top of the fountain in the middle of the town? Do you know?

I visited Bern long ago, but in the summer. I got to see the “bears” outside then. It’s a lovely city.
