Blast from the Past: Rio de Janeiro

In today’s Blast from the Past post I’m remembering my first trip overseas back in November 2009 – the trip to Brazil. One of our stops was Rio de Janeiro.

Here are some impressions from this unique and overwhelming city:

      Thanks! 🙂
It was our first time in Brazil and we mainly did the touristy stuff. In Rio, I would definitely recommend visiting Sugarloaf and Corcovado. The views from there are stunning. I also liked the time we spent swimming and relaxing at Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. For Sao Paulo, I’m afraid I don’t have any recommendations. We only spent two and half days there and I didn’t like it at all. What I would recommend when in Brazil are definitely Iguazu watefalls, but I’m afraid they might not be on your itinerary.
